Your safety comes first

Every driver on Galera Go is screened before they can accept a single trip. We confirm that each driver is a professional operator who holds:

• A valid driver's license for the vehicle class they operate (motorbike, tricycle, tuk-tuk, car, or van).
• Valid vehicle registration and the local franchise or permit required to carry passengers in Puerto Galera.
• An identity check matching the person to the documents they submit.

For certain cases — and at our discretion for higher-capacity or premium services — we also require a police clearance (NBI / local police clearance) before a driver is approved.

Verification is not a one-time event. We re-check documents on expiry, suspend drivers whose licenses or permits lapse, and remove anyone who breaches our community and safety standards or receives repeated serious complaints.

• Check the match. Before getting in, confirm the driver name, vehicle type, and plate shown in the app match the vehicle in front of you.
• Share your trip. Use the in-app share option so a friend or family member can follow your route in real time.
• Sit safely. Wear a seatbelt where available, and a helmet for motorbike rides.
• Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, ask the driver to stop in a safe, public place and end the trip.
• Keep valuables close and avoid displaying phones or cash unnecessarily.
